The latest...

So yes I've been neglecting my blog for the past couple of weeks….it takes a lot of time to sit here any type this all up and I've been pretty busy it seems.  So what if we were just sitting around watching movies, I had company and couldn't exactly be upstairs ignoring everyone.  Regardless, here's an update on how I'm doing on my list:

2. Pay off credit card debt ~ I paid off 2 small cards from Christmas last week and my Macy's this week!  Plus I paid off a small personal loan.  Ok so I wrote the check out for the last one but haven't mailed it yet….that counts right?  Either way, only 1 more credit card (that's less than $1000) and my car payment stand in the way of finishing Baby Step 2 (The Debt Snowball).  WOOHOO!!

11.  Try a new recipe ~ so yeah I've been totally crushing this one!  I think I'll go ahead and mark it as complete but just keep updating it.  It's killing me to have a task I've done multiple times and not checked off!  Oh sorry….I got distracted.  This week Jen requested dessert, she didn't care what we had for dinner, and I had seen this recipe posted on Facebook that looked really good.  So yes I tried it….Lemon Blueberry Layer Cake, completely from scratch!  It was AMAZING!!! The recipe was for 3 layers and I wasn't paying close attention and only made two.  I don't know if that made the difference or it was suppose to be this way, but the cake turned out kind of dense.  I guess I was expecting it to be fluffier, but it didn't really matter because it was still REALLY, REALLY, GOOD!  Click here for the recipe, courtesy of Sally's Baking Addiction.  I'm afraid her addiction may be to my detriment, she has LOTS of awesome stuff posted.

13.  Read 10 Books (6/10) ~ I finished another Janet Evanovich, The Heist.  Oh TOW actually!! I picked up one that was in another series of hers I had read, and when I opened it up, it was a graphic novel!  Which I guess I really hadn't realized what that meant, but it was like a comic book!  LOL it took me all of like 30 minutes to read.  Kind of a waste, but I thought it was kind of funny.

I've checked out 2 more and ordered a couple to read.  Plus I'm in the middle of Dave Ramsey's Complete Guide to Money as part of my FPU class….and yes I went ahead and caved in to read the last Fifty Shade book. I just started it yesterday and I haven't even finished the first chapter.

21.  Add some charms to my bracelet ~ There's this bluebonnet one that I've been wanting for a long time, but it's a big one for like a necklace.  Well, I got a new James Avery catalog in the mail this week and they made a small one!!!  I know what I'm getting next! :)

22.  See a play ~ We went last weekend to see Monty Python's Spamalot at Campus Theater in Denton.  It was a hoot!  And they put on a a pretty good production!

23.  Complete a Challenge ~  Remember I signed up for the Green Smoothie Challenge in January?  Well apparently they do it 4 times a year and I got an email today that I'm automatically enrolled in the next one.  Let's see if I can do better this time!

28.  Listen to my entire iTunes library (701/5901) ~  I finished the B's and started on the songs that begin with the letter 'C', of which there were 270.  Beginning with C U Next Tuesday by Ke$ha and ending with Cursed Male by Porno for Pyros.  I'm not sure where all this came from, but I'm 36 in so far…  Oh and apparently I added some more songs tot he library in the meantime, because I'm now at 5901 total! :-/

40.  Go to a Rangers game ~ I'm already getting SportsCenter updates on my phone for Spring Training!!  Only 24 days till Opening Day!! WOOT! WOOT!

41.  Paint a new painting ~ Went to Texas U Can Paint with Sue and painted Birch Trees.  We took a little wine and cheese and a fun girls night out.  I'm taking the girls back one day next week during spring break too.
