What I'm Loving Wednesday...

Last week got super busy and the only reason my Tuesday post went out, was because I had done it the week before and scheduled it to do so...

So here's a combined WILW from the last 2 weeks.  Thanks as always to Rachel and Jodi for hosting.

I'm Loving....that it's OFFICIALLY Baseball season!  - I went to 2 Home Opening weekend games and have had a chance to listen or watch all or part of a every game since, and I'll be back at the park when they come back from this road trip next week.  Of course I'd love it a lot more if we could actually win more than 1 games in a row and actually have a win a streak, and be above .500, but maybe that will be something I can include for next week's post!

I'm Loving....my Lady Banks rose bush - I brought this home as a scrawny 2 foot twig and planted it in the corner of my yard.  It has since grown into a monster, I've had to trim it back twice because it threatens to pull down mine and my neighbors fences!  It only blooms once a year, but then is green and full all season, but I love how pretty and lush the little yellow flowers are when it's in full bloom.

I know I only have 2 things on here, but it's already turning out to be another one of those weeks and I just wanted to be able to play this week!

What I'm Loving... Wednesday

I know it’s been a few weeks since I linked up for What I’m Loving Wednesday, sorry for the neglect, but here I am ready to play along again.

 What I’m Loving…

 …First and foremost can I get a big WHOOP! WHOP! For the beginning of baseball season!!!  I absolutely cannot wait until Friday, for my FAVORITE holiday… Opening Day!!  I got my new shirt all ready to be decked out, and I’ll be back on Opening Night too!

 …Bath & Bodyworks Stress Relief collection.  I don’t know what it is about this fragrance but it’s my current fave!  The shower gel gets super foamy, and the lotion is just light and refreshing.

 …Hershey’s almond kisses.  The Easter Bunny left us all the leftovers and I’ve been finding myself munching on them the past couple of days.  I really need to stop.  I should probably put them in a bowl on the coffee table or something, but I don’t really want to share. :P

 …Tell Your Story Tuesday.  I started a new blog challenge a few weeks ago to try and get myself to blog a little more regularly.  I found it at http://thisismechallenge.blogspot.com and although she finished it last year, it still looks fun and is helping me to open up a little and let people get to know me.  I’m doing going to try and do all the same challenges, and I decided I’m also going to make a scrapbook page of each one. Something else I haven’t done in FOREVER, but it should be something fun to look back on years from now.  I might even make my girls do it too, and make them books also!  I’d love for you to link up and play along with me!

What I'm Loving / Favorite Things

It's really hard to come up with different things for two posts a week, but I love linking up with these fabulous ladies!  So this week I combined, hope nobody minds, and here are my Favorite Thins, that I'm loving this week...

I'm loving... Banana Pudding Pie!
I have always loved Banana Pudding and who doesn't love pie??  (I feel like I say that a lot. LOL) Well this pie both great things rolled into one!

I'm loving...Rangers games on my TV again!!
So what if it was only a pre-season game.  I love being able to watch my games again, and it won't be long til I'm at the park!!

I'm loving...Getting my jog on.
I've been so lazy, I just can't deal with the cold.  But I was off work this week for Spring Break with the girls, and I got up early 3 days (so far this week) and went for a walk/run.  I haven't run in so long, I'm having to work back up but I feel great and I've only had 2 cups of coffee all week!

This barn...
I see this little barn on my run in the morning, it's on the farm behind my neighborhood.  It was foggy this morning and I loved the way it looked so I snapped a pic.  There's a donkey that I've several days over the past week hanging out in the doorway when it rains.

This week I'm loving...

...Warmer weather 
This coming week's forecast is ways better than last week's, and it looks like we're finally done with the freeze risk!  I took the down comforter off the bed this week and am planning to head to Home Depot this weekend to look for some new landscaping options!

...Baseball all around me
It seems that everyone is getting ready for baseball season to start and it's getting REALLY close.  The news is giving Spring Training reports every evening, I'm getting ESPN updates on my phone almost every day, my twitter timeline is talking about it all day and even my dessert the other night looked baseball themed to me!  (Studhubs said "only you!") LOL

...Weekends alone
With 4 kids, Studhubs and I rarely get alone time.  I look forward to Saturday mornings when we don't have to get up early and get some snuggle-time.  I especially love when we leave in the morning, and get to spend the day together without anyone else.  Whether that be just running errands, grabbing lunch or a movie, or wasting some time, or even all of the above.  I just love getting to spend time together!

...Good news
It seems like some things have just recently been falling into place on a few things.  I found out the other driver's insurance has accepted liability and my car is finally fixed, my insurance didn't go up as much as I had feared by adding a new driver, and we DON'T owe the IRS any $$ this year.  Those are all good things in my book.  Sometimes it's the simple ones. =)

What I'm Loving...Wednesday

I skipped last week because I just simply ran out of time.  The kids were home half the week, but I still had to work, then before I knew it, it was Friday and I was headed out of town in the middle of a blizzard!  or at least what we consider a blizzard for DFW.

Anyway, here's what I'm loving this week:

...My New Quilt

Which actually is old, I guess.  I started this quilt way back in like 2008 doing a square swap with some ladies from work, then I got it all pieced together, and even got the muslin and batting pinned...then stopped.  I don't even remember why I stopped and put it in a closet, then it just sat there neglected for years.

Well my girlfriends invited me to a scrapbook retreat last weekend. It was kind of last minute but I figured it would too much trouble to dig out all the supplies I would need to try and scrapbook a bunch of old pictures I haven't looked at in years (...are you seeing a trend here? :-/).  Anyway...I dug it out, took it with me and I FINISHED IT!!  I'm so proud of myself!  It even still kind of matches my bedroom and I LOVE IT!

...Girl Time

A group of my girlfriends and I started getting together for a monthly Girls Night.  I invited different people I thought would enjoy it, and they didn't even all know each other.  There are still a few girls that haven't gotten to come yet, but I keep inviting them and hope they'll make it.  Anyway we have a great time, and someone else hosts every month to entertain us.  It's been a lot of fun for all of us, it's low stress and relaxing to just get together have time to talk and laugh and maybe we'll learn something new and make a new friend.  Maybe it's equivalent guys and their poker night I guess.

This past weekend, I even went on a girls retreat and we had a blast.  It was very laid back and fun, I already wanna go again!  I didn't even find out about it until like Monday and my sweet Studhubs totally encouraged me to go.

...Speaking of my Studhubs

He encouraged me to go on a girls weekend, after only 5 months of marriage and then spent the whole weekend alone iced in with our 4 kids!  Also last week, during the icy conditions he drove my daughter all the way to Ft. Worth for work then to Dallas for his own, then back again after.  He's so very selfless most times.  I am so blessed.

What I'm Loving Wednesday....on Thursday

I was gonna try to keep up with this every week, but I got super busy this week and have already neglected my blog. :-/  So I know I'm late, but here's the current installment of "What I'm Loving..." on Thursday instead.

I saw this last week  on Facebook and I'm STILL cracking up, This is so funny because it is so TRUE!  Bahahahaha

I'm loving...Baseball:

It's SOOOO close!  Spring Training started this week!! Plus I'm going to Opening Day!  I. CANNOT. WAIT!!

I'm loving...Craft Beers:

We've recently been trying all these different craft beers and even went to a couple of local breweries.  Right now our favorite is the Cinnamon Horchata Ale.  I'm hoping it's not just a seasonal flavor because it's REALLY good.

I'm loving...Last Man Standing:

I haven't watched this in a few weeks and I started trying to clear off my DVR during a little insomnia bout the other night.  I was reminded how much I love Tim Allen.  He is so stinkin' funny!  I seriously was laughing out loud, I almost woke up the Studhubs.  I love that he's kinda crotchedy and opinionated and he's NOT worried about being politically correct all the time. Plus his little family is so REAL and not all phony and Hollywood...at least the actors play that way on the show! LOL

I'm loving...Kate White books:
I recently found a mystery available in my library's ebooks selection.  I thought it looked like it may be an alright read, so I went ahead and checked it out on my kindle.  I actually really enjoyed it.  Then being the OCD that I am, I realized that it was Book 4 in a series so of course I had to start at the beginning!  The main character and those around her are recurring, but they are written so that you able to follow along without HAVING to start at the beginning and you can follow the story just fine.  If you enjoy a chick-lit mystery, you should check her out.

I'm loving...My New Blog Design ~ I decided to give this thing a go and hope everyone is interested enough in what I have to say.  I took a 10 part course online on www.howtoblogdesign.com and I am loving Ro's site!  and of course my fancy new blog design! Please have a look around :)

I'm loving... Girls Night ~ I recently started a planned monthly girls night with some of my friends.  We've met 3 times now and we have a lot of fun just getting to catch up and do something fun.  Last night I hosted a Pinterest Party at my house.

I'm loving... My New Shoes ~ I got  a new pair this this week....actually 2! ...and a purse!  But lately I've been obsessed with chevrons, I got a chevron dress this summer, I put chevrons on my blog, and I saw these this week and HAD to have them...maybe I should have said, "I'm loving chevrons!"  LOL.  Anyway, now I'm dying to wear them.  I need to go someplace fun!

I'm loving... Baseball ~ I mean, I always love baseball.  I'm I'm super excited that Rangers pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training in 9 days!!!  I'm looking forward to a great season!

Home Improvements ~ I've been on a roll lately and can't stop thinking of all the updates I want to make.  As you know, if you read my blog, I recently redid my master bathroom and this week I started on the girls bathroom too!

What I'm Loving Wednesday Blog Hop

What I'm loving these days...

God ~ I know he has me right where he wants me.  I can honestly say that I have nothing to complain about, and really haven't for a while.  That's not to say that life is always rosy, or that I never face struggle or disappointment, but I feel VERY blessed every day that I have an amazing man in my life. We have beautiful, healthy children.  We have stable jobs, a roof over our head and food on our table.  We have an amazing church family and support system and are able to at least save up a little and do things we want to do.

My new Kindle ~ My Studhubs got me a Kindle for Christmas and I have been putting it to some good use.  I've always been an anti-ebook person.  I thought I liked reading a real book in my hands and I always tend to read in spurts, but here lately I've been reading a LOT!  My Kindle has a light so I don't have to bug hubby while he's sleeping, and I've already read 6 books just since January1st!  Plus I've recently discovered Book Bub and I get an email everyday for cheap, or even FREE reads!  I found a books I've actually been looking for, for the past 6 months on there recently and read it for FREE! :)

Speaking of my Studhubs ~ I am still a newlywed!  We got married just 4 months ago and I have to say, the second time around is SOOO much better!  It truly feels like we are partners in life.  We talk about stuff, and say "I love you" every day and kiss each other goodnight.  We laugh at each other, and ourselves, and are just now starting to get to the point of finding the things that annoy each other.  He does tend to get frustrated/exasperated with me from time to time.  But I am still loving every minute of it, he's AWESOME in my book and even getting on each others nerves is a blessing.  God is Good.

Girls Night ~ We recently started out a regular monthly girls night with some friends I've known for years but don't always get to see frequently.  It's been a lot of fun, and something to look forward to!  We've gone for dinner, out painting, and next week are having a Pinterest Party, I can't wait.  As much as I LOVE my man, I always love getting to catch up with the girls!

My new bathroom ~ Having a man around the house has allowed me to start doing some updates on my boring old home.  I don't know why I started with the master bathroom, maybe because it's a smaller space and I could do it inexpensively.  But I feel all fancy in there now! :)

Gotham ~ I've never really been much of a comic fan before, like seriously I hadn't even seen an Avengers movie until last year.  But Studhubs is old school, I'm learning, and I'm really enjoying the new Gotham series that came out this past fall.

Cooking ~ I've been cooking dinner at home a lot lately.  I try to test out a new recipe or dish at least every week.  Last year I challenged myself to make a pie a month, and I really enjoy creating a good meal for my family, and enjoying it together.  I've always liked to cook, but had gotten out of the habit for a while.  The quality of our meals is much better these days and WAYYYY cheaper.

Shoes ~ I mean duhhhh.  I've always loved shoes!  What girl doesn't?  The higher the better.  Who didn't expect this to be on the list??

That it's almost BASEBALL season ~ October to March is like the longest 6 months of the year!  I mean I can still enjoy a good 12-4 Cowboys season, but I'm glad it's over and we can FOCUS!
